Kiptanui sets course record to win Prague Marathon
The 26-year-old Kiptanui finished the race in 2 hours, 5 minutes, 39 seconds in only his second marathon, which was held in sunny conditions. Ymane Tsegay of Ethiopia was second in 2:07:11, and Nicholas Kipruto Koech of Kenya came in third in 2:07.23. The previous course record set by Kenya’s Patrick Ivuti last year was 2:07.48.
